    Overview

    Planning for retirement is an important and necessary task. With many living into their 80s and 90s, the savings needed to live comfortably at retirement has increased dramatically. The Michelin Retirement Planner will help you answer these questions:

    • How much money will I need for retirement?
    • How much income will I have?
    • Am I meeting my retirement income target?
    • If not, what can I do?

    You will be prompted to answer 3 data questions, create a new password, and provide your mobile number to receive an Authentication Code. when you first log in.

    Step 1: Enter your Employee ID.

    • Enter your employee ID.
    • Click Next.
    • Verify that your name appears on the next page. If you entered the incorrect employee ID, click the [EXIT] button to reenter it.

    Step 2: Answer the 3 data questions.

    • Enter your answers to the 3 data questions that appear.
    • Click Next.

    Step 3: Create a new password.

    • Enter a new password in the space provided. Keep in mind, passwords:
      – Are case-sensitive;
      – Must include at least one lower case and one upper case letter;
      – Must include one number; and
      – Must be a minimum of eight characters long.
    • Confirm your password by re-entering your new password.
    • Click Next.
    Step 4: Enter Authentication Code.

    • Your mobile phone number is required to verify your identity
      – Enter your mobile phone number if it is not on file, including country code.
      – Verify your mobile phone number if it is on file. If it is incorrect, email your name and 8-digit Employee ID
      S and with your correct mobile phone number to retirementplanner@michelin.com to be updated in the
      S.system.
    • Enter the Authentication Code that was sent to your mobile phone number.
    • Click Next.
  • Start Modelling

    To begin, enter your Employee ID number and your password.

    When you click on...

    • – You'll find an explanation of each item in the section.
    • Personal Data – You'll see the information we have in our records; your projections are based on this data.
    • Retirement Planner – You'll see your projected retirement income as compared to your retirement target, based on the assumptions you've entered.
    • Tips – You'll get advice on what you can do to model different scenarios.

    Adjust your assumptions

    Choose a:

    • Retirement date;
    • Rate of earnings increase that you expect over your career;
    • Contribution rate—the amount you'll contribute to your retirement savings;
    • Anticipated investment earnings.

    Your projected retirement income is immediately calculated and shows you if "You are Under or Over" your retirement target. As you change your assumptions on the left, your values or annual/monthly income amounts update on the right.

    Remember – you can print any scenario. Try out a variety of assumptions and compare the results.

  • Personal Data

    The planner uses this information to create your estimated retirement income projections.

    Enter your Employee ID and click NEXT.

    If you forget your password, click Forgot Your Password?

    Answer any security questions that appear; click NEXT.

    Enter the Authentication Code that was sent to your mobile phone, click NEXT.

    You will be asked to create a new password.

    If you unable to answer any questions, email your name and 8-digit Employee ID to retirementplanner@michelin.com to verify your answers.
